Ret Paladins can produce burst damage as well as, if not better than, anyone. In raids this is no big deal but in PVP it can be devastating. Throw in the moderate CC ability most ret pallys have and you have a dangerous arena opponent.
Melee Hit and Expertise are crucial to the success of a Ret Paladin. The number one priority is the get these stats to 3% as quickly as possible and then move on to the others as listed above.
Strength: increases attack power. All damage is increqased.
Haste: Increases attack speed, but more importantly decreases your global cooldown. This increases burst damage. Huzzah!
Mastery: Adds additional holy damage to Crusader Strike, Hammer of the Righteous, Hammer of Wrath, Templar’s Verdict, and Divine Storm.
Glyph of Templar’s Verdict Required. Moderate boost to survivability.
Glyph of Blessed Life Recommended. Small boost to recovery after being crowd controlled.
Glyph of Double Jeopardy Recommended. Moderate boost to damage with multiple targets.
Glyph of Righteous Retreat Recommended. Bubble Hearth!
Glyph of the Falling Avenger Optional. Reduces falling damage.
